PROJECTS

I have worked over 10 years in the Netherlands as an industrial designer

The subjects were often technical  and related to an educational concept. Either a trade show stand for an electrical program or an student recruitment event, both were challenged to electrically re-wire a house and transfer the electrical panel to an Insta bus system.

The practicum models often carried multiple layers of communication.

The challenge for me as the designer was not only: who do I make it appealing to, but also how will it contain the needed technical elements  and content for the teacher to test their subjects. With this in mind it had to be visual appealing to the often  challenging group of High school drop-outs!

So the question is: What is design?

Jewellery, chair, car, drill, lawn mower, logo, music, theatre play, the list is as long as we use products

on a daily basis. Anything we hold in our hands, look at, listen to is a creation of some kind, either

technical, creative or functional, its all done with a passion for form, balance, functionality and

thinking outside of the box, challenging your self as a designer and educating your customer.

Taking the time to make a sound design where all the elements are in harmony and complement each other, versus a quick and dirty money making sign.... that does not work for me! I will go, with passion the extra mile and present the various options.  Always with you in mind!

From a complete different level is my love for Sculpting!

This is were I make my art and peace, this is for me to me and from me to......
